Nearby areas
The lovely countryside provides great walking
in the rolling landscape of olive groves and fields, and examples of Corfu's
rural life is all around.

The nearby old villages of Pagi and Afionas
provide a pleasant view of traditional Greek life. The narrow streets of
Pagi were built long before any motor vehicles and are a test for
drivers of large vehicles. Many guests of Theo's Hotel walk or take the local
bus to spend a relaxing hour in a Pagi cafe. The beautiful little hill-top
village of Afionas is famed for its wonderful views over Agios Georgios
bay and the Ionian Sea. There are several restaurants with outstanding views
and Theo's Hotel guests are often found in Dionysos taverna or Porto Timoni
Cafe recovering from their walk with a cool drink.

Many visitors love to just relax by the lovely
hotel pool or on the beach but many like to investigate the countryside by
walking. If you are not keen walkers a Hire Car is suggested to get the
best out of this beautiful area of north-west Corfu. There are several local
companies, plus Motor Bike, Scooter Hire and Mountain bikes. |
